SBC Team and Lyndas Ride 2009

Sunday 9th August saw the 3rd running of Lynda's ride, a 175 mile one day 'Tour of Yorkshire'

A record 28 riders set of from Buckden in the Yorks Dales at 7.30am heading out over Fleet Moss, acroos the York plain, up Garrowby Hill, through Selby and Barnsley, over Woodhead pass to finish at the top of Holme Moss at 8.15pm.

With a little money still to come in the Total raised is already in excess of £6000 for our local 'Kirkwood Hospice'

We would like to thank everyone for their donations towards 'Lynda's ride, the wonderful team of helpers and the riders who made the event possible, and look forward to next years event which will be on the 8th August.

Congratulations to Sowerby Bros rider Mason Hollyman who took his 2nd Cyclo Cross victory in a row in the U10 category at the Temple Newsam Cross, last Sunday he followed up these two fine results with 2nd place in the Myrtle Park Yorks points event in Bingley.

Jake takes first Victory of Season

13 Year Old Jake Womersley secured his first Victory of the current cross season in the Yorkshire points series event at Myrtle park Bingley.
